Technical Writer
The Technical Writer is responsible for research services and proposal writing involving health information exchange (HIE) solutions. This is a significant internal role requiring the ability to work hands-on at all levels within our organization. The Technical Writer assists the Research Department and acts as a documentation resource for the consulting teams.
Responsibilities include research, writing and editing material for proposals, presentations, white papers, marketing materials, and project methodolgy. Incumbent will develop tables, graphs, budgets and other supplementary materials for presentations and proposals. He/She will identify and review requests for proposals, invitations to negotiate, and other available opportunities. Also, attend vendor conferences and web meetings on behalf of the organization.
Incumbent must adhere to specific organization methodology and writing standards. Work product must exhibit technical accuracy and reflect current events/news in the healthcare field.
Requirements include:

BA/BS
-
Prior work history in research, writing, healthcare, information technology and/or electronic health information exchange

5+ years of proposal and report writing; and/or research experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Able to adapt to new tasks with little notice and to exercise independent judgment

Proven ability to work in a team environment

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Attention to detail
